MBA EXPANDS REWARD PROGRAM
For the past several years the Montana Bowhunters Association has had a standing offer of a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons committing a big game violation using bowhunting equipment. Now, as the result of two known shootings of cattle with arrows in 2002, the MBA's reward program has been expanded to include the intentional shooting of domestic livestock.. When a rancher has one of his cattle shot with an arrow the image of bowhunting and bowhunters obviously suffers immensely. The updated reward program is:
The Montana Bowhunters Association will pay a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any persons who commit a big game violation or commit a crime involving the shooting of domestic livestock using bowhunting equipment. The reward is in conjunction with the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks TIP-MONT Anti-Poaching Program. Observers of any illegal activity are encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT.
